The Program
Mount de Sales Academy is fortunate to have a rich and wonderful athletic history which dates back to the 1930’s when the all girls boarding school students participated in intramurals sports such as tennis, basketball, softball and volleyball. In the fall of 1960, the first athletic teams involving young men began participation in interscholastic sports.
The athletic program at Mount de Sales is truly a student-centered program. Many of our students participate in a variety of sports throughout the year. We are proud of our young men and women for their commitment and dedication, and for the way they represent our school.
Mount de Sales is fortunate to have a wonderful coaching staff of both full time and volunteer coaches. Our coaches strive to inspire and develop outstanding young men and women to become model citizens with knowledge, character and discipline. Not only do our coaches do a tremendous job of teaching and coaching their respective sports, they excel at serving as outstanding role models for the student/athletes. Of course we strive to win every athletic contest we enter. However, the impact on the lives of young people is far more important than the final score of a game.
"The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand,
and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the
best of ourselves to the task at hand.”
~ Vince Lombardi
