The theme for Homecoming Week this year is: MDS Got Games!

Each day of the week will have a “dress-up” theme for students.

Monday is Candy Land Day. This is a “sweet dreams” theme. Students may wear pajamas to school. All tops must have sleeves or a t-shirt worn underneath. If girls wear gowns or shorts leggings or tights must be worn underneath.

Tuesday is Twister Day. This will be a “tacky” theme. Students may wear tacky clothes for a truly tacky kind of day. All tops must have sleeves or a t-shirt worn underneath. If girls wear shorts leggings or tights must be worn underneath.

* The Parents’ Association is providing snow-cone treats for all students at break today.

Wednesday is Guess Who? Day. Students may dress as their favorite celebrity or fictional character, but must make it good enough that others are able to guess who they are. This is our parade day, so think outside the box and be as creative as possible with costumes. All tops must have sleeves or a t-shirt worn underneath. If girls wear shorts leggings or tights must be worn underneath.

Thursday is Cranium Day. This is “nerd” day. Students may come to school looking like nerds. All tops must have sleeves or a t-shirt worn underneath. If girls wear shorts leggings or tights must be worn underneath.

Friday is Crazy Blue and Gold Day. Students may come out of uniform if they wear blue and gold head to toe. All tops must have sleeves or a t-shirt worn underneath. If girls wear shorts leggings or tights must be worn underneath.

* Friday is our Homecoming “Lunch on the Lawn,” from 12-noon to 12:45 pm. Parents are invited to bring fast food, a picnic lunch from home, or purchase items in the school cafeteria using your child’s Flik account. Don’t forget to bring blankets or chairs for seating. This year we printed school directories and one per family will be distributed during this Lunch on the Lawn event.
