Moving Up Day and Mass of the Assumption

We invite all parents of our seniors to “Moving Up Day,” which will be celebrated at the Feast of the Assumption Mass on Tuesday, August 15th. Seniors will not have class this day. Instead, they will report to St. Joseph Church at 12:15pm for the 1:00pm mass. A class picture will be taken prior to mass. This is a long-standing Mount de Sales tradition that officially recognizes the members of the Class of 2018 as the new student leaders. We hope you will join us!
The Solar Eclipse
You may be curious as to what we will do as a school regarding the solar eclipse, Monday, August 21st. Since this is truly a rare event and something we want to experience, the middle school has a full day planned, including trips to the planetarium, viewing with specially purchased eclipse glasses, and making their own pinhole observation devices. We also understand that the time frame for the event hits during our dismissal window, so we will offer an optional supervised study hall until 4:04 pm that day for any student whose parents would rather they remain indoors during that time.
Our New Campus Store: “The Back Porch”
The Back Porch, our new school store, is now open for business on Mondays and Wednesdays during lunch (11:40 a.m.-1:00 p.m.) and Flex-time (2:45 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.) and on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. – 8 a.m. The store is located in the back of Trinity House, which is next to Cuddy Hall and near McAuley Hall. We can take cash, checks or credit cards. By the end of September, we will be set up to make purchases online through My School Bucks!
