Seniors Lacie Kunselman and Isabelle Sharon have been recognized as 2019 Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) Students. They each selected a faculty member to honor as their STAR teachers: Lacie chose math teacher Sarah Corum and Isabelle chose science teacher Georgia Olson. To obtain the STAR nomination, students must have the highest score in a single sitting on the three-part SAT taken through the November test date of their senior year, and be in the top ten percent or among the top ten students of their class, based on grade point average.

They will go on to compete at the county level this month. Middle Georgia winners will be selected in March and the state STAR student will be recognized at a banquet in April.
