During spring 2020, our faculty members and students did an impressive job transitioning to an online educational model. We were prepared and ready to implement distance immediately after school closed due to COVID-19.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays we ran a daily class schedule. During the class periods there was interactive instruction with a wide variety of delivery methods, including voice-over presentations, lectures, video clips, readings, practice sets, Google meets, etc. Many of these lessons were synchronous sessions which lend variety and connectivity to the digital academic day. On Tuesdays and Thursdays the students worked independently on content assignments that reinforced the material.
MDS is currently offering a virtual option for families for the 2020-2021 academic year. We are proud to offer live instruction for all of our distance learners.
Members of our technology department have worked tirelessly to keep systems running smoothly. They are available every day to troubleshoot problems and assist students and teachers when technology issues do occur.

Yes, we offer a shadow program and proudly host more than 130 students each year onto the Mount de Sales campus! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, shadow days are not being held during the fall semester. Stay tuned for virtual visits, a day in the life video, and ways students can “visit” some of our classes in action. The best way to experience MDS is by being a part of our great community! Let us show your student the best private school in Middle Georgia!

Morning prayer services are open to students of all faiths at 7:45 a.m. daily in the chapel. The entire Mount de Sales community attends Mass during Holy Days. They are held at nearby St. Joseph Catholic Church (a short walk) or on campus in the Zuver Performing Arts Center. Mass is also offered once per week in the chapel, which is open to anyone who would like to attend. For the fall 2020, all Masses will be held virtually with students staying in their classrooms during the services.
