Catholic private school, Mount de Sales Academy, located in Macon, Georgia, is proud to recognize six members of its Class of 2025 who have achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in the Boy Scouts of America. With a graduating class of 77 students, this accomplishment represents an exceptional concentration of student leadership, service, and commitment.

Despite the rigorous curriculum taken by this class, over 85% of them will graduate with the HOPE scholarship. In addition to the Hope Scholarship, the Class of 2025 has earned over 6.8 million dollars in scholarship money to date, and that number continues to rise.

The Mount de Sales Academy community recently gathered to celebrate the opening of the Otis Redding Center for the Arts, a vibrant space dedicated to fostering creativity and self-expression among young artists. This new facility, made possible by the contributions of MDS alumni and supporters, honors Otis Redding’s legacy while providing a home for the next generation of musicians and creatives.

The Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) recognized Mount de Sales Academy’s senior, Evan Lin, as the Region VI winner last night. Evan nominated Mr. Mark McMahon (’77) as this year’s STAR teacher. Mount de Sales Academy has the highest number of PAGE STAR Region winners among independent schools in Central Georgia.
