2019 Junior Football

Flag Football for First, Second, Third, and Fourth Graders – Flag football is a great way for the beginners to get started and have fun learning the game.  This league is a great introduction to the game with no contact.  The boys will work with current Mount de Sales football players on drill work, and on learning the fundamentals of football.  There will be flag football games played in-house to introduce the boys to playing in a competitive atmosphere.  The Junior Division will practice weekly on Sunday afternoons from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Senior Division Tackle Football for Fifth and Sixth Graders – The Senior Division is a great way to develop your skills as you prepare for middle school and high school football.  The Senior Division will compete in a padded league including other Macon schools, and we will continue to emphasize fundamentals as they further develop their skills, and learn to play the game.  While playing in the league will introduce the boys to a more competitive atmosphere, our coaches will continue to focus on teaching the game and on having fun.  Senior League practices will primarily take place on Monday and Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

Season starts on Tuesday, September 10 and runs through Thursday, October 17.

In both leagues, the coaches will emphasize teaching the game in a positive way, and each player on the team will participate in all games and practices. MDS varsity football players will be involved with coaching all teams.

There is no cost to play in the leagues.
