Mount de Sales Academy is a community called to excellence since 1876. MDS unites tradition and innovation to offer an outstanding college preparatory education. Located in the heart of vibrant Intown Macon, Mount de Sales is the oldest and most organically diverse independent private school in Middle Georgia and serves students in grades 6-12. Admissions Events

Shadow Days

Shadow Days are an opportunity for prospective students to experience the MDS school day for themselves. Each student guest is paired with an MDS student and has the opportunity to attend our daily break, lunch, and classes. No need to worry about following the MDS dress code for the day. We just ask that students come ready to explore. There is no better way to discover what makes Mount de Sales special than to experience it for yourself! Contact admissions to learn more and schedule a day that works well for your student.

Open Houses

Open Houses are a great way to see the campus. Admissions has several options for your family!

  • Tuesday, December 9th | 5:30-7:00pm – Join us for this middle school open house to experience the magic of our middle school. Please plan to join us for the full timeframe to hear a presentation about middle school at MDS and to participate in a tour of our middle school building.
  • Friday, January 30th | 11am-2pm – Drop in for a campus tour between 11am and 2pm. This event is during the school day and is a great way to experience MDS. Our classes will be in sessions allowing guests to see exactly what it’s like to be a Cavalier. We will offer tours of both the middle and upper schools.

Each open house includes an opportunity to meet our admissions team, administration, teachers, current families, and current students and a campus tour. Come experience what it means to be a Cavalier. Save your spot today!

Campus Tours

Our admissions team is available to offer visitors a tour of campus outside of open house days. Contact admissions to learn more and schedule a day that works well for your family.

MDS Entrance Exam

All applicants are required to take the MDS Entrance Exam as part of the admissions process. This exam provides valuable insight into each student’s academic readiness and helps our admissions team make informed decisions. Exam scores are also used to idenfity recipients of merit awards. Register for a test date here.

Our Saturday exams will all begin at 8:30am and will be held on the following dates:

  • Saturday, November 8th
  • Saturday, February 7th
