Asia Laconico was awarded a Macon Telegraph Golden Eagle Award for athletics. Janelle Dulin was awarded an honorable mention for music. Asia received a trophy and $1,000, and Janelle received $300. The Golden Eagle Award is presented to the individual in each category whose record of achievement and service to school and community best exemplifies the unselfish use of his or her talents and abilities to help others in relation to his/her category.
