This senior class has met this year with a steady sense of purpose, and it shows. They have navigated an increasingly complex college admissions landscape with perspective and resilience, but what stands out most is not simply where they are going; it is who they have become along the way. As parents, you have witnessed that growth in the everyday moments: their perseverance, their decisions, and their deepening sense of self.
Each student has approached the college process with intention, seeking places that align with their gifts, their goals, and their values. That kind of discernment speaks to a maturity that will serve them long after they leave Mount de Sales.
This fall, they will head to campuses across the country and beyond, including Georgia Institute of Technology and University of Georgia, as well as Washington and Lee University, Baylor University, and Sciences Po in Paris, among many others.
While highly selective schools draw significant attention, what stands out most is the intentional way each student has approached the college search. Every senior has taken time to discern the right fit for their interests, strengths, and aspirations. When fall arrives, they will carry with them the wisdom and values formed here, as they head to campuses across the country and the world.
Despite the rigor of their coursework, over 87% of this class will graduate with the HOPE Scholarship, and together they have earned more than $7.5 million in scholarships to date. A class of 66 students, accepted to 94 colleges and universities, leaves behind not only impressive accomplishments but a legacy of leadership, character, and faith rooted in the spirit of Catherine McAuley.
