Mount de Sales Academy had four softball athletes sign to play at the collegiate level:

Jordyn Partain, Florida International University

Jordyn Partain has been a tremendous asset to the softball program at Mount de Sales in her four years of service. Her freshman year, she led our softball team to its first GHSA Elite 8 in Columbus, Georgia. She was named GHSA Region 7A Softball Player of the Year and led the region with 171 strikeouts, .543 BA, .615 OBP, 10 HR, and 45 RBI.  Jordyn was also named All-State 2nd team and chosen as the Macon Telegraph’s Player of the Week.

Jordyn also made the GHSA All-Region and All-State teams in 2018 and 2019, and in 2019, she led her team to a state championship, was chosen as the Macon Telegraph’s Player of the Week, and was named the Georgia Dugout Club Player of the Year. This year, as a senior, she pitched her team to an area championship title and a 3rd place finish in the state. She led our area in strikeouts, totaling 148 for the season, and was named GHSA Area 1-A Pitcher of the Year.

Jordyn’s overall stats are outstanding. In four years at Mount de Sales, she pitched a total of 8,002 pitches, had 650 strikeouts, an ERA of 2.09, and an opponent’s batting average of .172. Offensively, Jordyn finished her 4 years with a batting average of .439, an on-base percentage of .490, 119 RBI, and 19 home runs.

Henderson Hurdle, Georgia Southwestern University Henderson Hurdle has played a huge role in the recent successes of the Mount de Sales softball program. She is a total team player, an outstanding leader on the field, and well-respected by her teammates and coaches. Her positive energy is contagious, and as a result, she helped lead her team to a state championship in 2019 and an area championship this season to finish out her senior year.

Over the last four years, Henderson has been voted GHSA All-Region 1st team and All-State 2nd team each year, and this year, as a senior, she was voted as the GHSA Area 1-A Player of the Year. She is undoubtedly one of the best defensive and offensive players in our area. In her career, she has totaled 297 putouts with a fielding percentage of 91%. This year, she led our team offensively with a batting average of .488 and an on-base percentage of .593, both the highest on our team. Henderson is a phenomenal lead-off batter and baserunner and finished her career at Mount de Sales with 44 RBI and 124 runs scored.

Chloe Nepveux, Palm Beach Atlantic University In her four years at Mount de Sales, Chloe Nepveux has contributed so much to the softball program and has played a huge role in its success. Over the last four years, she has been voted GHSA All-Region each year and All-State her junior year. In her four years at Mount de Sales, she’s pitched a total of 3,078 pitches, had 240 strikeouts, an ERA of 2.73, and an opponent’s batting average of .221. In 2019, her performance in the Elite 8 against Wesleyan was outstanding. Leading her team on the mound in this game, Chloe gave Wesleyan its first loss in 43 games. She had 13 strikeouts, allowed only 2 runs and 5 hits, and threw 76 strikes out of 95 total pitches. Her stellar pitching put us in the driver’s seat heading into the Final 4, which resulted in a state championship title.

Chloe has been successful at the plate, on the mound, and at first base. Her versatility is what makes her such a well-rounded player.

Heartly Nepveux, Piedmont College

When Heartly Nepveux  joined the varsity softball team her freshman year, she changed the dynamics of our defense, adding so much skill and talent to the outfield. For the past four years, Heartly has been the leader of our outfield and is notably the best center fielder in our area. Over the last four years, she has been voted GHSA All-Region each year with 105 put outs and a 94% fielding percentage.

Heartly has been very successful at the plate as well. She finished her four years with a .325 on-base percentage and always came through when the team needed her the most. Last year, in our Elite 8 game against Wesleyan, who was 43-0, Heartly lead the 7th inning off with an incredible base hit to left field which was the catalyst for our victory over Wesleyan.
