[Macon, Georgia]Mount de Sales Academy (MDS) is delighted to announce that the $350,000 Challenge Grant has officially been unlocked! Additionally, MDS surpassed its original goal before June 30, ahead of schedule. Another generous donor has committed to a matching gift of $25,000 to the mix, bringing the matching total to $750,000.

“I am beyond excited and full of gratitude for our supporters of Mount de Sales, whose commitment made this possible,” said Brendan O’Kane, President of Mount de Sales. “These funds directly impact the lives of our students and support the school’s mission to discover, innovate, and serve. As I continue training for the Chicago Marathon, highlighting the great work being done here, I’m motivated by our success and growth. It’s great to be a Cavalier! Together, we will continue to make history.”

The success of the campaign was further amplified by a generous $25,000 matching gift presented by alumnus Dr. Allen Cherer (‘69), following the early achievement of the original goal. This second match helped elevate the campaign’s final total well beyond expectations.

The funds raised will support key strategic initiatives outlined by the current Strategic Plan and will ensure Mount de Sales continues to build a lasting legacy for future generations.

Mount de Sales extends heartfelt gratitude to every donor who made this success possible. Each gift helped build momentum, and together, the MDS community is helping to shape a legacy of generosity, faith, and excellence.
