[Macon, Georgia]Catholic private school, Mount de Sales Academy, located in Macon, Georgia, is slated to participate in the Kairos retreat for the first time this year.

Students in Mount de Sales’ junior class, the class of 2027, will be the first to participate in this transformative retreat, which focuses on bringing individuals closer to God.

“We are excited to begin a new tradition here at Mount de Sales Academy with our junior class. In New Testament Greek, “kairos” means “God’s time.” This will give us all an opportunity to be still, listen, deepen our connection with God and with one another, and enjoy nature. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and one that animates our Catholic identity and our mission of being poised to discover,” said President O’Kane.

The four-day Kairos retreat is a lifelong gift for all who participate. Set in a beautiful location, it offers a rare opportunity to focus on what truly matters most. This investment in our Cavaliers reflects our deep commitment to caring for the whole student. Embarking on this retreat for Mount de Sales juniors would not be possible without the support from the Dorothy V & N Logan Lewis Foundation, the Phil J. and Alice S. Sheridan Foundation, and many of our generous donors. This retreat ties in closely with Mount de Sales’ strategic goal to expand students’ experience of wonder and holiness.
