The Ardmore Publishing Company Scholarship, a $1,000 MDS scholarship for the 2017-18 school year, is given through the generosity of Susan Crawford, a 1963 MDS graduate and faithful supporter of the Academy.  The scholarship program seeks to encourage and reward student literary talent as exhibited in exceptional knowledge of grammar and mastery of the craft of writing.

Students in grades 8-11 are eligible to apply. Applicants must complete a grammar test and submit a piece of original writing.  Interested students should pick up an application, which includes the grammar test, from their English teachers.  Completed applications are due on Thursday, April 6.
