The middle school LEGOliers Robotics team was awarded one of three Champion Awards at the 13th Annual Central Georgia FIRST Lego League Super Regional competition at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins. Thirty-five teams from across the state competed in this season’s challenge: hydro dynamics. Students used LEGOs to build robots and program them to perform tasks.
The Champions Award recognizes a team that “embodies the FIRST LEGO League experience, by fully embracing our core values while achieving excellence and innovation in both the Robot Game and Project.” The LEGOliers’ award qualifies the team for the 2018 State Championship, which will be held at Georgia Gwinnett College in February.
Congratulations to team members Grace Byron, Mary Margaret Dillard, Tom Hughes, Adia McGahee, Jose Morales, Keegan Nelson, Ikenna Nwoke, Jack Union, A’nna Wilcox, and Loukas Wilcox.
