[Macon, Georgia] – Catholic private school, Mount de Sales Academy located in Macon, Georgia is proud to announce the recipients of the 2023-2024 STAR student and teacher awards. 

Mount de Sales Academy’s STAR student this year is senior, Gabriel Howard. Gabriel nominated Mr. Preston Earle as this year’s STAR teacher. Mount de Sales Academy would like to congratulate Gabe and Mr. Earle for their dedication in and out of the classroom as exemplary role models for our current and future Cavaliers.

About the STAR Program 

The PAGE Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program is sponsored, administered, and promoted by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE). Created by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce in 1958 and now in its 66th year, the program has honored nearly 29,500 students and the teachers selected as the most influential to their academic achievement. To obtain the 2024 STAR nomination, graduating high school seniors must have the highest score on a single test date on the SAT and be in the top 10 percent or top 10 students of their class based on grade point average.
