Boys Varsity Lacrosse: Coach John Hintermaier

The boys lacrosse team has made tremendous strides in the 4 years the Class of 2020 has been in the program. In the 2019 season, we made the GHSA playoffs for the first time in program history and looked to be on track to do the same in 2020. The career highlight for this team was our 12-10 victory at Stratford to secure our playoff spot in 2019. We did this with Addison Sims, our back-up goalie playing his first game of the season. Gabe Davenport contributed 8 goals with help from Hunter Buafo. Our defense and midfielders led by Joseph Waters, Jack Winer, and Leo Bird kept the ball moving our way. It was huge team win that this year’s seniors played a key role in securing.

Coach Hintermaier: “Known for his hard work, quick feet and style in sticks, Hunter was selected by his teammates to be one of the team captains. Hunter has scored many goals for the Cavaliers, but none more important than the game-winner against Islands High School in Savannah during his freshman season.”

Gabe Davenport

Gabe finished his varsity career as the leading scorer in Mount de Sales history, but his most outstanding performance was the 8 goals that he scored against Stratford last year to secure our first playoff spot.”
