Mount de Sales Academy is preparing for the 2020-2021 academic year and its official reopening in August.

A key advantage of the Academy being an independent institution is its adaptability to a changing situation and ability to respond accordingly to the needs of the school community.  An Education Task Force comprised of administrators, staff, and teachers is evaluating three critical areas for the new academic year:

  • Teaching and Learning—potential instruction delivery models; face-to-face and distance learning options
  • Health and Safety—logistics of reopening campus; protection of students, staff, and faculty
  • Constituent Communications—keeping constituents informed as the crisis evolves; providing seamless and uninterrupted instruction
Surveys of parents, students, and staff will aid in the task force’s evaluation of how to proceed for the new academic year. Additionally, careful consideration of and adherence to local, state, and federal guidelines for everyone’s health and safety is of highest importance.
The task force will develop a finalized plan and share with the MDS community all facets of its study as details become finalized this summer.
