Senior Evan Kelley has won a Golden Eagle Award in Foreign Language for Spanish.

Sponsored by The Telegraph, the 40th annual awards ceremony was held at Macon’s Grand Opera House. First-place winners received $1,000, a trophy, and a plaque. The winning students were judged by representatives from area organizations and institutions.

Evan was interviewed by a four-person panel, entirely in Spanish. Additionally, he had to present a speech in Spanish on any topic of his choosing; he chose music.
