Mount de Sales will administer the PSAT to current 10th and 11th graders on Wednesday, October 11.  To help our students prepare, we will be administering a full-length practice test to all 10th and 11th graders over the next few weeks in various academic classes.  English and math teachers will review test results and use College Board materials to help students understand their responses.

In addition, Dr. Franklin and English faculty members will be reviewing test prep strategies for all 10th and 11th graders.  Students will be given the official College Board Study Guide and a second practice exam.  We also encourage our students to take advantage of Khan Academy resources which are linked directly to our students test results and provide specific tutorials to help students bolster their scores and address specific test-taking weaknesses.

Parents are encouraged to help their students prepare by discussing the importance of practicing for standardized exams and preparing well on the day of the exam by eating a well-balanced breakfast and getting a restful night’s sleep before exam day.

The Upper School will be released immediately after the PSAT is complete on Wednesday, October 11.
