The Upper School Quiz Bowl Team competed at the Georgia Academic Team Association’s Fall South tournament this past Saturday in Dublin.

Our novice team won first place. Team members were Joe Reidel (not pictured), Karl Gustafson, Cat Dobles, Sarah Schwartz and Austin Burkey.

Our JV team won 2nd. Team members were Ben Lemon, Roman Vadini, David Pham, and George Pearson.

Our varsity team took 3rd. Team members were Aidan Hintermaier, Billy Chung, Stephanie Pierson, and Dat Pham. Their third place finish qualified them for the NAQT High School National Championship Tournament that will be held in May 2017 in Atlanta. This is the second year in a row that the upper school team has qualified for the national championship. The championship is restricted to the top 272 teams in the nation.
