Nina Sandefur (11th) is the Academy’s September Artist of the Month. Nina has shown art in the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural and Livestock near Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She won 3rd place and cash awards for her “Sailing” photo in August 2016.

Nina sold art at the Mercer University/Mount de Sales Student Invitational Exhibition entitled “Mentors and Protegés” this past March. The curated exhibition was viewed by more than 1,400 patrons. Ninasold a digital photo entitled “Hands. Bubbles” and was the only photographer to sell art at the show.

Nina has challenged herself by moving from digital photography, her most successful area, to beginning with rayographs in the MDS darkroom.
