In the month of February, we are asking every student to donate $1 each week to the “Beat the Heat” campaign to air condition the gym. We believe their participation is important for several reasons:

• Students are the ones who will benefit the most from cooler temperatures and a spruced up gym!
• Philanthropy is an essential part of being a good citizen and an extension of our faith.
• Their $1 becomes $2 because the Slonaker family, whose three children graduated from MDS, will match every dollar students donate.
• If everyone participates, we could raise another $5,000!

This is not a parent giving campaign! We are encouraging students to give from their allowance or take on extra chores around the house to earn their contribution.
